                  After reading We Are Data -Preface and introduction, I was surprised to learn more about the EU google restrictions. I was although I am aware of some of the things that the preface and introduction talked about, I still found it very creepy in a way how were all categorized by our internet usage. I logged into the   www.google.ads/preferences   and was looking through everything, surprisingly, they are very accurate. To the point of knowing personal things like we are trying to get pregnant. I also logged into google EU and did some research on there. Even looking up celebrities and influencers to see of the are categorized as one. Knowing this, I did change some privacy settings. My personal ‘donts’ of social media are sharing live location, nudity, politics and To much information posts. My ‘dos’ consist of posting things that my family and friends would be comfortable seeing, and light hearted content. I first started using social media in 2008. In middle school, I would post childish things scubas candy and my sister. Now I post on my personal page things I have been up to recently, my dog, and family. I used to use aim and myspace, but now I use Facebook and instagram. Online image can be dangerous and unrealistic. And that falls into comparing yourself to others. It is dangerous and can damage ones mental space. Rules in my book include content that has too much information, nudity, gore or anything that could be disturbing.
